Author’s Spotlight Interview with Houston Cei
1. What do you feel will most likely capture your reader’s attention regarding your book?
The father/daughter duo of Patricia and David are a fabulous legal team, and although they are hard workers, they love to relax and party. They are very sexually liberal and are willing to experiment outside their own relationship. Patricia is a savant and her exceptional talent is speed-reading with total comprehension and the ability to store an incredible amount of information in her mind and retrieve it instantly. This is an invaluable asset in their legal practice, Their skills in defending high profile clients in Miami has resulted in their becoming self-made millionaires.
They will reunite their old friends Reverend Jim and Roxanne and will meet new ones when they return for a visit to their former hometown in Lodi, California. There are several graphic sex scenes that include threesomes, foursomes and wife-swapping.
2. What other books would you compare to your own story?
Although there are similar situation in my other books, I always try to add variations in the sex scenes with intrigue and drama in the storyline. I also do research to make my stories believable, but do not draw on other sources for characterization and plot. I try to make sex scenes very graphic, including such things as ATMs, analingus, cum in the mouth, and variations in sexual positions.
3. What inspired the title of your latest book?
Patricia’s mother managed a farm in rural California. Patricia took over the responsibility after her mother’s tragic death. Country Taboo: The Sequel is simply a continuation in the lives of Patricia and David as lovers and also professionals. They own a yacht that is named Evely after Patricia’s mother and to them this is their “love boat.”
4. Taken as a whole, what moral, social, or political questions does your story discuss?
I do not take a moral, social or political stand on incest in the story, but I do point out in the conclusion that it existed in ancient times as a regular practice and we are not sure at what point in history it became “taboo.” Moses wanted to keep the Hebrews distant from “pagan” practices and since he was familiar with Egyptian culture that included brother/sister marriages, he condemned it in his writings.
Unfortunately, we often hear of the negativity surrounding incestuous situations, but seldom hear of incestuous relationships that are rewarding experiences.
5. Artistically or literarily, were there any challenges creating your story’s dynamics?
Yes, it was challenging to research the savant syndrome. It is something that is not totally understood, but my lead character Patricia was a savant and I wanted to make her actions believable.
I am familiar with the area and there is truly a restaurant with outdoor seating and the waitresses wear bikini-like uniforms. The outdoor sex scene on the winding road in the mountains is very possible. The character Rose lost most of her front teeth due to nerve damage from her former use of crank. This can actually happen and for her the consolation was giving exceptionally good oral sex without her dentures.
Proofreading can really be a challenge. There were times when I thought everything was perfect but after taking another glance, I would still find errors. The “spellcheck” on Word is helpful but not perfect. This is the first of my eBooks that I turned over to a friend for proofreading. I was pleased with his help and knowing that he was not necessarily a fan of erotica, I was delighted to hear him say that he liked the story. Now he wants to read Country Taboo One.
6. How do you feel the cover highlights your story?
Patricia can be very intense but her countenance can also be sensual. Her eyes are sparkling blue and her red hair is pixie-cut, and I find freckles on a woman to be quite sensual. The yacht was their favorite place to make love.
7. Share with us an interesting fact or moment in your book.
Most men enjoy reading and/or watching Lesbian sex, but many women also like the idea of male to male sexual contact. In this story there is a little of that: During the three couple situation, Reverend Jim is on his knees performing fellatio on Gregory, his son-in-law, and while getting head standing up, Patricia suggests to her father to do Gregory anally. The men originally meant it to be for the entertainment of the women, but Reverend Jim surprised everyone with his enthusiasm for performing oral sex on another man.
I often highlight Lesbian sex and rarely male to male but this particular homosexual scene is an important part of the story. The Reverend gets nervous about his own sexual feelings and his daughter is right there to help him with those feelings.
8. What is your favorite part or scene in your book?
My favorite scene is where Roxanne from The Reverend’s daughter makes a cameo appearance in this story and directs much of the sexual action. She is a former porn star and with her husband and two other couples, namely Reverend Jim and Rose, and Patricia and David, everyone enjoys following her lead with each contributing his and her own creativity.
9. What appeals to you most about writing for this genre?
Incest is like taking erotica to another level. Just the fact that many people consider it to be “the taboo of all taboos” makes it intriguing and exciting. I often wonder how many people who condemn it have fantasized about having sex with a family member. For example, when a father hugs his daughter on graduation day, does the thought cross his mind that she is a woman now and he would like to have sex with her. I can’t help but wonder if there are many women who have also fantasized about making love to their sons but keep that fantasy a secret.
10. Is there a place readers can leave feedback or comments such as social media sites or email?
Yes, my website is on WordPress: houstoncei.wordpress.com and I am on Facebook under my first pen name Henry Hank, eventually I’ll be on Google and Twitter. I would love to get feedback, comments and reviews.
